this may look like regular road work to you, but to me it's an enormous hassle. i drew the following (very highly technical) picture to explain.
alright. i put about twelve minutes in to that, and now that i see the text is unclear, i'm completely indifferent. the point it, the road work pictured above happens to be on the main street between my house and all the stuff we do. it is a major hassle for me. insult to injury? IT'S CLOSED FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR. boooo.

Just think of it as your part in the economic stimulus package. All that money being spent to improve your road will keep dozens of workers employed. Perhaps?
I know! Every time I drive by there I think of you and how annoying that must be! And a YEAR??? Seriously, what could possibly take that long?!
